The new method proposed by Edward Lemke and Dorothee Dormann in their paper “Adding intrinsically disordered proteins to biological ageing clocks” has been highlighted by one of Germany’s most prominent newspaper agencies.
The Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ), states “Wenn Zellen altern, verklumpen Proteine. Mainzer Forscher schlagen vor, diesen Effekt für einen Test zu nutzen, der das Risiko für Leiden wie Alzheimer angibt.” (English: “When cells age, proteins clump together. Researchers in Mainz are proposing to use this effect for a test that indicates the risk of diseases such as Alzheimer’s.”)
